As many residents may already know, Anglian Water teams are currently repairing a damaged sewer pipe and have been using tankers to safely manage wastewater while the work takes place. Temporary pumps will be installed over the coming weeks, which will reduce the need for tankers once operational. A permanent repair is planned for June.
🚦 Traffic management
To allow safe access for equipment and tankers:
Multi-way traffic lights will remain on Southbridge Road, Clifton Road and Ivel Road.
Ivel Road will be closed at the junction with Southbridge Street from Monday 16 March, with two-way traffic lights on Southbridge Street.
This phase of the work is expected to run until 27 March.
Residents may notice increased activity while this work is carried out. Water and wastewater services will not be affected.
