After attending the Mackenzie Project run by Grand Union Housing Group, the Council’s Youth Involvement Team arranged for Checka to complete some work experience in the Town Clerk’s Office. She officially joined the Town Council in 2019 as a Business Administration Apprentice and once she had completed her apprenticeship, Checka was taken on in a permanent role as Admin Assistant to the Town Clerk in 2021. Over and above assisting the Town Clerk, her main task so far has been to create a database and plan of the historical burial records at the Campton & Shefford Cemetery.
Her interests include baking, reading, and walking, and she can often be identified around town by her headphones, which never get taken off!
